BACK ON THE ROAD: The Chargers will play their final road games of the regular season this week, taking a 13-10 (10-9 Gulf South Conference) record to West Tennessee for a Thursday showdown with Christian Brothers at 5 p.m. before heading to Union with the tip there slated for 2 p.m. on Saturday.

RECAPPING LAST WEEK: UAH steered the ship back in the right direction, snapping a four-game slide with a pair of wins last week including a 57-52 statement win over Delta State and a 64-53 victory over Mississippi College. The two league wins solidified a spot in the upcoming GSC tournament for the Chargers.

AROUND THE GSC: UAH is presently sixth in the GSC standings and can clinch that spot in the tournament with a win and a West Florida on Thursday night. Ahead of the Chargers, Union has secured the top seed while the other seeds are up for grabs with Delta State and Shorter currently tied for second and Lee and West Florida tied for fourth.

BALANCED ATTACK: On the year, the Chargers have had six different players lead UAH in scoring in a game, and those performances have been evenly distributed with Dina Saunders leading in eight games, Baylee Johnson pacing the squad in five games, and Josi Saunders and Halle Jarnagin both leading the team in four contests each.

SUCCESS AT THE STRIPE: UAH continues to excel at the free throw line, entering the week ranked 11th in the country in free throw percentage with a 76.9 percent mark that leads the GSC. Individually, Josi Saunders is 16th in Division II and first in the conference as she is shooting 87.9 percent at the foul line.

ABOUT CHRISTIAN BROTHERS: CBU will welcome the Chargers on Thursday night while holding a 10-13 (8-11 GSC) record, and the Lady Bucs are 5-6 at home on the year. Samantha Reeves is one of three players to score in double figures, leading CBU with 13.7 points per game, while Madison Luckett is grabbing a team-best 5.8 rebounds per contest.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers are 14-10 all-time against CBU after knocking off the Lady Bucs 75-65 on Jan. 11 in Huntsville. Dina Saunders was outstanding in that contest, scoring 32 points and grabbing 14 rebounds to lead UAH.

ABOUT UNION: Union enters the week at No. 11 in the country and travels to North Alabama on Thursday with a 23-2 (17-2 GSC) record and a 12-game winning streak, and the Bulldogs are 12-1 at home. Tiara Caldwell is scoring 14.0 points per contest to lead Union, while Kelsey Risner is nearly averaging a double-double with 10.7 points per contest to go along with a team-high 9.8 boards per game.

SERIES HISTORY: After securing a victory in Huntsville on Jan. 9, Union is now 0-9 against the Chargers. On Jan. 9, the two teams played a tight contest, but it was Union who ended up on the winning side of the 89-85 game, taking the lead for good in the final minute of the contest.
