HUNTSVILLE | The No. 18 University of Alabama in Huntsville swept its Saturday doubleheader from visiting Lee, extending its win streak to 12 games with a 4-3 walk-off victory in the day's first game and an 11-3 decision in the nightcap. UAH improves to 15-2 (5-0 Gulf South Conference), while Lee drops to 9-6 (2-3 GSC).
Â
The winning streak is the longest since the squad won 12 straight late in the 2012 season.
Â
The two teams will wrap up the series on Sunday, and the first pitch has been moved up to 11 a.m. due to weather concerns.

UAH 4, Lee 3Â
After the visitors scored a pair of runs in the top of the seventh to knot the game at 3-3,
Abby Roberts stepped to the plate with one out and
Kaitlyn Bannister standing at second after singling to center and moving to second on a
Tyler Harrison groundout, and the senior pulled through in the clutch, ripping a double down the leftfield line to plate Bannister and end the game.
Â
The walk-off heroics gave Harrison her eighth win in the circle as she moved to 8-2 after giving up just on earned run while striking out eight, giving up one walk, and working around 10 hits.
Â
UAH led early as
Savannah Smith belted her fifth home run of the year in the first, and later in the frame after that solo shot,
Taylor Wascavage drove in Bannister with a sacrifice fly to give the Chargers an early 2-0 advantage.
Â
The lead would then grow to 3-0 in the fourth as Bannister picked up the first of six RBI that she would have on the day as she knocked in
Brianna Sullivan in the fourth inning, but the Flames would then score once in the sixth before tying the game in the seventh.
Â
The Flames outhit UAH 10-7 in the game, and four of UAH's hits came from Bannister who was 4-for-4 with a pair of runs and the RBI.
Â
UAH 11, Lee 3 (6 inn.)Â
Bannister's terrific day continued in the second contest as she finished the nightcap 3-for-4 while driving in five more runs and scoring twice, and the first RBI in the game for the reigning GSC Player of the Year came in the first when she hit one of three doubles she had on the day to plate Smith.
Â
Busting the game wide open, Bannister recorded the other four RBI in the fourth with a grand slam that was her fourth of the season, and it capped off a six-run inning that helped UAH erase a 3-2 deficit and take an 8-3 lead.
Â
Haley Thompson then ended the game in the sixth with a three-run double to produce the 11-3 final.
Â
Thompson finished the game with four RBI as she also drove in the run in the fourth inning that proved to be the game-winner.
Â
Bridgette Wilson and Harrison drove in UAH's other two runs.
Â
In the circle,
Kimberly Jack picked up the win in relief, throwing 6.0 innings, scattering seven hits and striking out four and walking none.
Â
The Chargers finished the game outhitting the Flames by a 9-8 margin, and in addition to the three-hit performance by Bannister, Harrison and Thompson both went 2-for-4.
