Tyler Harrison was once again terrific and this time flirted with perfection as retired the first 18 batters she faced before giving up a leadoff double in the seventh, and the junior struck out a season-best 10 in moving to 10-2 while tossing her ninth complete game and third shutout.
Â
The Chargers outhit UWG by a 7-2 margin in the contest with
Kaitlyn Bannister picking up a pair including her seventh double of the season, and six different UAH players knocked in runs in the victory.
Â
The first two runs came in the top of the first as
Abby Roberts picked up her 20th RBI of the season on a base hit, while
Taylor Wascavage recorded a sacrifice fly to give UAH a 2-0 lead.
Â
The rest of UAH's runs came in a four-run third inning in which

Sarah Jordan drew a bases-loaded walk,
Haley Thompson pushed a run across on a grounder to second, and

Â
The Chargers would end up cutting the deficit in half in the top of the sixth as Bannister knocked in a run as did Harrison, and the team threatened again in the seventh but ultimately were retired without scoring despite loading the bases.
Â
