The Chargers take an 11-8 (8-7 Gulf South Conference) record into the new week.

RECAPPING LAST WEEK: The Chargers had a tough start to the trip, falling in both contests last week as the squad lost 67-57 at West Georgia and 78-68 at West Alabama.
Halle Jarnagin was strong in the setbacks, averaging 17.0 points and 6.5 rebounds in the two games.

AROUND THE GSC: With seven league games remaining, UAH finds itself firmly in position to earn a postseason berth as the team is presently in sixth in the conference with a two-game lead over Valdosta State (6-9) and a three-game advantage over Christian Brothers and West Georgia who are both tied for eighth with 5-10 records. Shorter and West Georgia are tied for fourth ahead of the Chargers, holding a two-game advantage at 10-5.

ROAD WARRIORS: In seven road games this season, the Chargers have three players who are averaging in double figures compared to just two overall on the year.
Dina Saunders leads UAH on the road with 12.4 points per game, while
Halle Jarnagin and
Josi Saunders are averaging 11.6 and 10.4 points per contest, respectively – marks that are higher than the overall season average for both.

AT THE STRIPE: UAH has certainly taken advantage of its trips to the free throw line this year, ranking 14th in all of Division II with a 76.8 percent success rate at the charity stripe. Additionally,
Josi Saunders has the 22nd-best free throw mark nationally at 87.5 on the year.

ABOUT LEE: Winners of seven out of 10 at home this season, Lee enters Thursday's game with a 14-6 overall mark and an 11-4 record in conference play. Erin Walsh has been impressive for the Flames, scoring 17.8 points per game, while Christina Johnson is strong on the glass with 10.0 boards per contest.

SERIES HISTORY: The all-time series with Lee is tied at 4-4 after the Flames were 79-52 winners in Huntsville back on Dec. 19. Three players scored for double figures for UAH in the loss with
Halle Jarnagin's 12-point, six-rebound showing leading the way.

ABOUT SHORTER: The Hawks enter this week – which starts with a Thursday contest against North Alabama – with a 13-6 overall mark and the 10-5 record in conference play, and Shorter is a strong 6-2 in Rome. Taylor Adams is the team's leader as she is averaging a double-double with 15.9 points and 10.8 rebounds per game.
