TUSCALOOSA, Ala. | The No. 3 University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team picked up a non-conference doubleheader sweep on Tuesday afternoon, winning 10-0 in five innings and 11-0 in six innings at Stillman. The Chargers improve to 28-6 on the season, while the Tigers fall to 10-14.

UAH will return to action on Friday when the team travels to Rome, Georgia, for a three-game set starting with a noon CDT doubleheader on Friday before wrapping up the series with Shorter in a single game at 11 a.m. on Saturday.

Moving to 17-3 on the season, lowering her ERA to 1.42, and tossing her seventh shutout of the season was
Tyler Harrison who gave up just three hits and struck out eight in her 15th complete game of the campaign.

Harrison was backed by an offense that set the tone early with a five-run first en route to pounding out 13 hits with
Brianna Sullivan,
Kaitlyn Bannister,
Bridgette Wilson,
Sarah Jordan and Harrison each recording a pair in the game, and the team recorded seven hits that were for extra bases including Harrison's two doubles, a homer from
Abby Roberts, and a two-bagger and a home run from Bannister.

Bannister drove in a team-best three runs in the game, while both Sullivan and Roberts knocked in two.

The home run for Roberts is her fifth of the season, and she also now sits second on the team with 32 RBI after driving in just 23 a year ago.

UAH also stole five bases in the contest with Sullivan's pair leading the way.

In addition to the big first inning, the guests scored a run in the second, three more in the third, and added its 10th in the fourth.

Emily Glover turned in her best showing of the season in the circle in the nightcap, tossing all six innings while striking out seven and giving up just one hit in facing one batter over the minimum. The junior moves to 4-1 on the year with the win.

The Chargers racked up 12 more hits in the victory, led by Sullivan's three at the top of the lineup while
Jada Hayes,
Rachel Burden, and Bannister all added two including Bannister's second home run of the day, lifting her season total to 11.

The reigning GSC Player of the Year also now has 51 RBI and leads UAH with a .433 batting average.

Jordan had a team-best three RBI in the game, while Bannister, Wilson, and Hayes each drove in a couple of runs each.

The Chargers scored once in the first, twice in the second, and again in the fifth, but it was a seven-run sixth that busted the game wide open and allowed the visitors to win the game in a shortened six innings.
