Tampa controlled much of the first half after scoring three early, unanswered tallies with goals by Amanda Voges at 28:10, Shannon Sweeney at 23:26 and Amanda Rom at 19:02.

The Chargers were able to end the string of UT goals as Natalie Pachinger cut the Tampa lead to 3-1 at 16:31, but Sweeney added her second of the contest at 9:25 to give the Spartans a 4-1 lead through 30 minutes.

UAH rebounded in the second half to outscore Tampa 8-6 in the final 30 minutes, despite falling 10-9 in the Saturday road contest.

Nicole Federovitch led off the scoring at 26:06 with Elizabeth Brown scoring at 25:37 to reduce the Spartan lead to 4-3.

After Tampa's Sweeney added her third of the game, the Chargers proceeded to score four straight goals to take a 7-5 lead in the matchup as Pachinger scored at 21:47, Megan Hartnett at 19:37, Federovitch at 18:23 and Megan Hart at 15:12.

The Spartans would overtake the Chargers lead with a trio of tallies before the game went into its final seven minutes of play, but Nicole Federovitch scored her third and fourth goals of the game at 5:27 and 3:34, respectively.

However, Tampa would score twice in the final two minutes for the eventual 10-9 victory, with Natalie Carraway scoring at 2:14 and Madison Creech at 1:10.
