HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's lacrosse team dropped a 13-4 decision to visiting Young Harris on Saturday afternoon at Charger Park. The Chargers slip to 2-7 with the setback, while the Mountain Lions improve to 10-4.

UAH will return to action on April 16 when the team welcomes Lees-McRae for the 2016 home finale.

In the contest against YHC,
Kevin Coppinger padded his team lead in points while also grabbing the top spot in goals as he scored twice to run his season total in goals to 14 which when combined with his eight assists gives him 22 points on the season.

Quincy Ward scored the other goal for the Chargers for his 12th strike of the season.

Jack Bishop,
Isaiah Currie, and
James Cox each picked up assists for UAH.

Mattie D'Amico and Ward paced the Chargers in shots with four apiece, while
Colton Nall led the team with three ground balls.

In addition to his two goals, Coppinger also forced a UAH-high four turnovers.

For the contest, Young Harris outshot UAH by a 30-18 clip and collected 28 ground balls to UAH's 12, and the visitors also held a 19-2 advantage in face offs. In clear attempts, UAH was 13-for-19, while the Mountain Lions were 11-for-12.
