Box Score CLEVELAND, Tenn. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team topped Lee by a final score of 3-1 (32-30, 25-17, 20-25, 25-19) on Friday night to continue the Gulf South Conference slate. UAH improves to 7-1 (2-0 GSC), while LU slips to 3-3 (0-1 GSC).

Kirsten Giles came just one kill shy of her first career triple, as she posted nine kills to go along with 37 assists and 13 digs.

Haley Hop had her strongest defensive performance of the season with a team-best 23 digs, besting her previous season-best of 22 set at Trevecca Nazarene last week.

Turning Point
- After trailing early by 16-13, the Chargers utilized a five-point run to overtake the lead at 18-16 en route to the first-set win by a score of 32-30.
- UAH led the majority of the second set, and were able to key the 25-17 victory with a late 6-0 run to make it a 23-14 lead.
- Following an initial 13-13 tie, the Flames were able to take their lone set of the match with a 6-0 run late to maintain a 22-14 lead.
- The Chargers turned in an early six-point run to lead 6-1 early into the fourth and final set, and were able to finish off frame with a 25-19 win.

- This was the Chargers win at Lee since Nov. 7, 2005.
-Â For the fourth time this season, UAH posted 10 or more total blocks with 11.0 during the game. The Chargers recorded just two games with 10 total blocks in 2015.
- UAH has started the GSC slate with two wins for the past three seasons.
