HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team rewrote the record book on Monday night, rolling past Oakwood 16-0 at Charger Park. UAH improves to 5-3-0 on the year with the win.

-UAH scored three goals in the first five minutes to take complete control of the contest with
Alexcia Alexander scoring twice in that span and
Sydney Pfankuch adding the other.

Alexcia Alexander scored the first goal of the night in the second minute with
Amanda Elsey tallying the assist, and she followed it up with her second of the night in the fifth minute with
Amanda Elsey and
Melody Hoernschemeyer earning the helpers.
-Just 16 seconds after Alexander's second, Pfankuch scored her first of the night with Elsey again earning an assist along with
Maddie Maurice.
-The next UAH goal came in the 8th when Hoernschemeyer scored from
Hannah Oglesby and Pfankuch.

Alexcia Alexander's third goal of the night came in the 14th minute from Pfankuch, and the team again scored rapidly afterwards when just 40 seconds later Elsey scored an unassisted marker to make it 7-0.
-Pfankuch's second came in the 16th off an assist from
Arieal Alexander, and
Katie Bell made it 9-0 when she scored in the 22nd and 27th minutes with
Ashton Prestage assisting on the first Bell strike.

Arieal Alexander scored in the 35th, and in the 40th
Raichele Langford tallied to make it an 11-0 lead at the half.
-Pfankuch opened the second-half scoring in the 51st with
Riley Ridgeway helping on the goal, and
Kayla Grimes (58th) and
Alex Barnett (67th) also added goals. Langford and
Mia Penton, respectively, assisted on the goals by Grimes and Barnett.

Ashton Prestage scored in the 82nd, and Langford added UAH's last in the 84th.

Noteworthy
-UAH established the record for goals in a game, breaking the old mark of 14 set against Oakwood last year and versus Tennessee Temple on Sept. 9, 2014. The 16 goals is the third-highest single-game total in Gulf South Conference history.
-UAH also established the program record for assists in a game with 13, besting the previous mark of 12 set against Oakwood last season.

Larae Breaux earned her fourth shutout of the season, and she now has matched the program record for career shutouts with nine.
-Five players scored their first career goals in the victory with Barnett, Bell, Elsey, Grimes, and Prestage each opening their collegiate scoring accounts.

Alexcia Alexander logged her third career hat trick with her three-goal performance, and it marked the first hat trick for the junior since scoring three times against Oakwood on Sept. 14 of last year.
-Pfankuch notched her second career hat trick with her first coming in the Oakwood game a year ago.
-Ten different players scored a goal in the contest, matching the total of nine from the 14-0 victory over Tennessee Temple on Sept. 9, 2014.
