HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team leveled its conference record with a Friday Night Football victory, defeating Delta State to move to 6-3-0 overall and 2-2-0 in Gulf South Conference play. Delta State slips to 4-5-0 (0-4-0 GSC).

Mia Penton to give the Chargers a 2-1 advantage, and the strike would prove to be the game-winner.

Maddie Maurice opened the scoring with a strong effort into the back of the net from about 20 yards out in the 26th minute, and the 1-0 lead for the Chargers would last through the halftime break.
-Delta State leveled the contest just over 10 minutes into the second half when Taylor Guess notched her third of the year.
-After assisting on the game-winner, Pfankuch then provided the Chargers with an insurance marker when she scored in the 81st minute off a ball from
Kayla Grimes to produce the eventual 3-1 final.

-The game-winning strike for Penton represents her first career score, and she is the sixth Charger in the past two games to notch a career first.
-Maurice's opener is her second goal of the season, and she now has six for her career. On the season, she ranks fifth on the team in scoring with five points as she also has an assist.
-A year after leading the team with 21 points, Pfankuch moved back to the top of the offensive ledger with her three-point night, now totaling a team-best 14 points on five goals and four assists.
-After scoring her first collegiate goal against Oakwood on Monday, Grimes now has her first career assist after picking up the helper on UAH's third goal.
