HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team dropped its Sunday afternoon contest with Mississippi College, falling 3-0 at Charger Park. UAH slips to 6-4-0 (2-3-0 Gulf South Conference), while MC improves to 7-2-1 (4-0-1 GSC).
 
Turning Point
-Caitlin Hayes scored off a corner in the 12th minute to give the visiting side the first of three goals they would score in the first half en route to the victory.
 
Inside the Box Score
-Just over 11 minutes after the first score, the Choctaws added onto the lead in the 23rd minute when Lauren Smith scored.
-Lauren Kate Carter – who assisted on MC's first goal – tallied the third strike for the visiting side in the opening half when she scored in the 34th minute.
-Larae Breaux made four stops for the Chargers while taking the loss in goal.
-Riley Ridgeway led the team with four shots including two that were on target.
-Ridgeway had UAH's best effort at goal, ringing a free kick off the crossbar in the 31st minute when UAH was down 2-0.
-The visitors outshot UAH by a 17-7 margin including a 7-3 edge in attempts that were on frame.
-Corners in the contest were even at 3-3.
 
Noteworthy
-The four shots for Ridgeway in the contest mark a season-high for the junior from Athens, and the total also represents a career-high as her previous best was three.

-The Chargers will be off until Friday when the team travels to West Tennessee for a weekend pair starting with a contest that night at Union. Kickoff is slated for 5 p.m. in Jackson.
