BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The Gulf South Conference unveiled its 2016 Fall FireSeeds All-Academic teams and the Fall GSC Honor Roll on Thursday, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville garnered three GSC All-Academic honorees and 60 GSC Honor Roll recipients.
 
Volleyball's Anna Claire Johnson (English, 4.00 GPA) returns to the GSC All-Academic squad for the second year in a row, while men's soccer's Tucker Watts (Finance, 3.71 GPA) and men's cross country's Brydon Groves-Scott (Secondary Education, 4.00 GPA) were unanimous selections in their first year on the GSC All-Academic list.
 
Academic All-GSC Team members must have an overall grade point average of 3.20 or better on a 4.00 scale for their entire academic career and may not be freshmen or first-semester transfers.
 
The student-athlete must be a significant contributor to the squad. Other factors include leadership, community service and extra-curricular activities. The number of student-athletes selected in each sport is determined by the number of positions normally involved in the playing of that sport. Ties are not broken in the voting process.
 
Inclusion on the GSC Academic Honor Roll requires an overall GPA of 3.00 or better.
