WEEKEND AHEAD: UAH (16-9, 4-3 GSC) jumps back into Gulf South Conference play with a trio of league matches beginning Tuesday at West Georgia (2-18, 1-7 GSC) at 5 p.m. before the squad hosts Christian Brothers (11-13, 4-4 GSC) on Friday at 6 p.m. and Union (12-11, 2-6 GSC) on Saturday at 2 p.m.
 
RECENT ACTION: The Chargers travelled to Birmingham, Alabama, over the weekend to compete in the South Region Crossover, and the squad came away with losses to Rollins and No. 4 Palm Beach Atlantic on Friday and a win over Lynn on Saturday. UAH now owns at 16-9 overall record in addition to a 4-3 mark in the GSC.
 
STANDINGS UPDATE: West Florida leads the GSC with a perfect 7-0 record in league games, followed by North Alabama (6-1 GSC) and West Alabama (5-1 GSC) in second and third, respectively. Lee (5-3 GSC) begins the week in fourth in the standings, preceding UAH (4-3 GSC), Shorter (4-3 GSC), and Valdosta State (4-3 GSC) in a three-way tie in fifth.
 
LIMITING THE ATTACK: UAH ranks third in the conference in opponent hitting percentage with a .148 opponent swing rate entering this week's slate. The Chargers are benefitted by a pair of conference leaders in Haley Hop with 5.32 digs per set and a Caroline Sanford with 1.14 blocks per set. Sanford begins the week rated 31st nationally in blocks per set, while Hop ranks 43rd in the NCAA in digs per set.
 
WOLVES PROFILE: West Georgia owns an overall record of 2-18 and 1-7 in the GSC, after most recently falling to Flagler, Florida Tech and Embry-Riddle this past weekend in the South Region Crossover. The UWG offense is paced by Anjelina Webb with 203 kills, while Jaylen Daffin boasts a team-high 220 digs. UAH is 44-13 all-time against West Georgia.
 
BUCS PROFILE: Christian Brothers begins the week's slate with an overall record of 11-13 and a 4-4 mark in conference play, following a win over Lynn and losses to Eckerd and Rollins over the weekend. The Bucs offense is led by Emma Lenoir's 349 kills and 3.75 kills per set average, while five players have 100 digs or more paced by Blythe Clausen with 399 scoops. UAH is 27-21 all-time against CBU.
 
BULLDOGS PROFILE: Union enters the week with a 12-11 record so far in 2017 in addition to a 2-6 record in the GSC, after a win over Nova Southeastern and losses to Flagler and Florida Tech during the South Region Crossover. Five Bulldogs own 100-plus kills led by Katie O'Malley with 254 kills, while Taylor Chiaro owns a team-high 273 digs. UAH is 7-3 all-time against UU.
