UAH Notches Road Win at West Georgia Tuesday

CARROLLTON, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team topped West Georgia 3-0 (25-23, 25-22, 25-14) on Tuesday evening in a Gulf South Conference matchup. UAH improves to 17-9 (5-3 GSC), while UWG dips to 2-19 (1-8 GSC).
 
Turning Point
- After taking the first two sets 25-23 and 25-22, UAH kicked into another gear with a dominant 25-14 win in the third – including scoring 15 of the final 17 points in the stanza – to seal the three-set win over West Georgia.
 
Inside the Box Score
- Isabelle Barnes paced the UAH attack with 10 kills and a .529 hitting percentage, followed by Anna Claire Johnson with nine kills on a .318 hitting percentage.
- Kirsten Giles registered a double-double with a team-best 20 assists as well as 11 digs.
- Haley Hop registered a team-high 15 digs and also notched five assists in the win.
- Sabrina Duncan rated second on the roster with nine assists and third with eight digs.
- Both Johnson and Caroline Sanford had three total blocks apiece to lead the Charger defense.
