CLEVELAND, Tenn. | Another stunning second-half performance lifted The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team to another Gulf South Conference victory as the Chargers knocked off host Lee 4-2 on Friday evening. The Chargers improve to 7-5-2 (6-1-2 GSC) with the win, while the Flames go to 5-5-4 (4-4-2 GSC).
 
Turning Points
-The hosts opened the scoring with Alfie Coldron getting the Flames on the board with a 27th minute strike, but UAH responded 10 minutes later in the 37th when Connor Smelser assisted on Jordan Wright's equalizer that made it 1-1 at the halftime break.
-Lee's Samaan Williams put his team back up by a goal in the 48th minute, and that 2-1 advantage would last until the 63rd when the guests would turn the tables in a hurry.
-UAH's leading scorer Corentin Diverres took a nice cross and headed it past the Lee keeper in the 63rd to knot the affair at 2-2, and less than two minutes later in the 65th, Guy Clennett took advantage of a clearing miscue by the Flames defense to make it a 3-2 lead for the Chargers.
-Clennett then helped Diverres seal the contest two more minutes later in the 67th as the Guidel, France, native headed in his second goal of the contest to create the eventual 4-2 final.
 
Inside the Box Score
-Lee held a 12-11 advantage in shots, but the Chargers had the edge in shots on goal by a 7-6 clip while also building up a 3-2 margin in corners.
-Wright led the Chargers with five shots including a team-best three that were on target.
-Myles Fullen picked up the victory in goal, stopping four shots in the process.
 
Noteworthy
-The Chargers clinched a position in the 2017 GSC Men's Soccer Championships with the victory, and the team is now tied with Mississippi College for second in the league with 20 points.
-Diverres has put together back-to-back two-goal performances, boosting his season total to seven which is tied for the team lead, and he pushes his team lead in points to 20 as he has points in four straight.
-Wright is the other team leader in goals as he scores his seventh of the season, and his second consecutive three-point showing moves his season total to 17 which ranks second on the squad.
-The score for Clennett is his first of the season, and he becomes the seventh different Charger to record a game-winner.
-Fullen earns his seventh win in goal on the year.
