HOME SWEET HOME: After starting the season in the Sunshine State, the UAH men's basketball team will play a pair of home games sandwiched around a road trip to Indiana in a stretch of three games in five days. UAH opens the home slate with a Thursday night visit from Trevecca Nazarene which is slated to start at 7:30, travels to Oakland City for a 3 p.m. contest on Saturday, and then welcomes Tennessee Wesleyan at 7 p.m. on Monday. The Chargers enter the stretch at 1-1.

LAST TIME OUT: UAH opened the new campaign with a split in Florida, defeating Saint Leo 82-80 before falling 102-96 in overtime to Tampa. The Chargers shot 48.0 percent from the field in the two games including a 50.0 percent showing from long-range.

WARD'S STRONG START: Senior Justin Ward led UAH in scoring in both contests last weekend, and he enters play on Thursday with a scoring average of 20.0 points per game to go along with a rebounding average of 5.0 per contest after grabbing 10 boards against the SSC foes.

IMMEDIATE IMPACT: Five of UAH's freshmen logged action last weekend including the reigning GSC Freshman of the Week Seth Swalve who averaged 10.5 points, 2.0 assists, and 1.0 rebounds in his first two collegiate contests, while Sam Orf also came off the bench to average 29.0 minutes in the two games while logging 8.0 points, 3.0 rebounds, and 1.5 assists per game.

HIGH-OCTANE OFFENSE (AGAIN): After finishing third in the GSC last year in scoring, the Chargers have started the year near the top of the conference again as the team's scoring average of 89.0 points ranks second only to Valdosta State's 91.5 points per game mark.

ABOUT TREVECCA NAZARENE: The Trojans have started off the year 0-2 after falling 84-73 to Truman State and 86-66 to Maryville. Devin Whitfield – the current TSWA Player of the Week – is scoring 22.0 points per contest to go along with a rebounding average of 6.5, while Mehdi El Mardi has been strong on the glass, collecting 10.0 rebounds per game to lead the Trojans.

SERIES HISTORY: The Trojans hold a slim 9-8 advantage in the all-time series after the teams once again split the season series last year with the home team defending its court in both games. In Huntsville, UAH was a 77-52 winner as 11 different players scored for the Chargers.

ABOUT OAKLAND CITY: The Mighty Oaks are 2-0 on the season with wins over Appalachian Bible and Earlham, and the squad will play Thursday night at Austin Peay.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH holds a 21-7 mark all-time against Oakland City, and Saturday's meeting will mark the first one in the series since Feb. 20, 2012.
