UAH Edged by Lee at Spragins Hall on Saturday

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team was edged by Lee in a Gulf South Conference matchup on Saturday afternoon at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall by a final score of 77-74. UAH dips to 6-3 (1-2 GSC), while LU rises to 9-2 (2-1 GSC).
 
Turning Point
- Despite UAH maintaining a 62-57 lead entering the fourth quarter, Lee was able to control the final period 20-12 en route to a 77-74 win over the Chargers on Saturday.
 
Inside the Box Score
- The Chargers boasted three players in double-digit scoring, paced by Katie Speegle's team-best 24 points on 10-of-14 shooting and 2-for-2 on three-pointers.
- Loren Foster followed Speegle with 19 points while Chandler Elder's 11 points rounded out UAH's double-digit scorers.
- Speegle additionally led the Chargers on the boards with a team-high eight rebounds, followed by Aryn Sanders with seven boards.

- Lee led for the majority of the first quarter until the Chargers ended the frame on an 8-0 run to lead 21-20 after 10 minutes of play.
- After the Flames opened the second quarter on a 9-4 run to lead 29-25, the Chargers proceeded to outscore the visitors 19-8 over the final seven minutes of the period as UAH took a 44-37 lead into the half.
- Both sides played each other closely in the third, with Lee holding a slight edge at 20-18 in the period to cut the UAH lead to 62-57 entering the fourth.
- The Flames benefited from a 12-5 run in the final 4:22 of the fourth quarter on the way to the 77-74 win for Lee.
