UAH Falls in Series Opener at Alaska Fairbanks

FAIRBANKS, Alaska | The University of Alabama in Huntsville hockey team dropped the Western Collegiate Hockey series opener at Alaska Fairbanks by a final score of 3-0 on Friday night at the Carlson Center. UAH slips to 7-19-3 (7-13-3 WCHA), while UAF improves to 9-15-3 (8-10-3 WCHA).
 
Turning Point
- Alaska Fairbanks took the early lead at 4:31 of the first period on a tally by John Mullally and would never look back as the hosts went on to win the contest 3-0, backed by a shutout performance by goalie Davis Jones.

- After Mullally put the Nanooks on the board, UAF's Chad Staley extended the lead to 2-0 at 12:35 of the first.
- Both sides would go scoreless in the middle period, prior to Nikolas Koberstein bringing the game to its 3-0 final score.
