UAH Tops Montevallo 22-7 to Wrap GSC Regular Season

MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's lacrosse team capped off the Gulf South Conference regular season slate with a 22-7 victory at  Montevallo on Saturday afternoon. UAH improves to 13-5 (6-1 GSC), while UM dips to 8-9 (2-6 GSC).

- UAH looks ahead to the GSC invitational – hosted by Young Harris – as the second seed with a semifinal matchup on Friday at 1 p.m. CST against third-seeded Shorter.
 
Turning Point
- After pacing Montevallo 14-5 through the first half, UAH piled on five unanswered goals to start the second to own a 19-5 advantage on the way to the 22-7 victory.

- The Chargers offense was led by Jenna Carr's game-high five goals, followed by Natalie Pachinger with four tallies.
- A total of six Chargers scored two goals or more with the addition of three goals by Nicole Federovitch and two markers apiece by Megan Hartnett, Kinta Schott and Shannon Kruse.

- One goal by the Falcons' Jami Hudak ended the Charger string of goals, but UAH pushed forward with four goals to UM's one in the last nine minutes to lead 14-5 at the half.
- Five straight UAH goals pushed the advantage to 19-5 with 18:11 to go as the Falcons scored twice in comparison to the Chargers three goals to give the game its 22-7 final.

- Pachinger's eight draw controls are a single-game career-high, and she's reset the program record for draw controls in a season with 69 in 2017.
