Nolan Dillon scored in the opening minutes of the second half on Sunday, pushing The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team to a 1-0 victory over visiting West Florida at Charger Park. UAH improves on the year to 3-3-0 (2-0-0 Gulf South Conference), while UWF slips to 1-3-0 (0-2-0 GSC).
Turning Points
-Though UAH held a 4-0 advantage in shots on goal after the first half, the game was a scoreless affair at the break, but it would not take long to break the draw in the second half as in the 51st minute,
Gunnar Birgisson served a perfect ball to Dillon who headed it past the UWF keeper to put the Chargers in front.
-West Florida would log a couple solid scoring chances down the stretch but would put only one attempt on target as UAH held on for the shutout.

-The Chargers will now be off until Sept. 26 when Carson-Newman will visit the Rocket City for UAH's final non-conference tilt of the season. Kick-off that Tuesday is slated for 4 p.m. at Charger Park.
