HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team started the 2017 Gulf South Conference slate with a splash as it downed Shorter 3-1 (25-23, 21-25, 25-22, 25-18) on Tuesday evening at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. UAH improves to 10-4 (1-0 GSC), while SU dips to 6-4 (0-1 GSC).

- After Shorter tied the contest 1-1 with a 25-21 win in the second, UAH proceeded to win the next set 25-22 before clinching the four-set victory on a dominant 25-18 win in the fourth frame.

Lorah Yonce with a team-high 13 successful swats followed by
Anna LeDuc with 12.
