Chargers Roll to Road Win over Montevallo

MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team downed Montevallo 3-1 (25-22, 20-25, 25-14, 25-15) in a Gulf South Conference matchup on Tuesday evening in the first of two road matches for the Chargers this week. UAH improves to 12-5 (3-1 GSC), while UM dips to 5-6 (1-3 GSC).
 
Turning Point
- With the match tied 1-1 heading into the third set, UAH proceeded to take control of the contest with dominant wins in the third and fourth frames by scores of 25-14 and 25-15, respectively, to cruise to the 3-1 win over Montevallo.
 
Inside the Box Score
- Anna LeDuc headlined a trio of Chargers with double-digit kills with 15 successful swats, while Anna Claire Johnson and Lorah Yonce posted 10 kills apiece.
- Four Chargers registered 10 digs or more in the victory, led by Johnson with 19 scoops and Haley Hop with 18 digs.
- Seniors Kirsten Giles and Johnson each posted a double-double, as Giles notched a game-high 45 assists and 12 digs and Johnson posted 10 kills and 19 digs.
- LeDuc additionally recorded a double-double in the win with 15 kills and 10 digs as well as a .297 hitting percentage.
