UAH Drops GSC Matchup at North Alabama

FLORENCE, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team fell to rival North Alabama by a score of 3-0 (15-25, 19-25, 14-25) on Friday night at Flowers Hall in a Gulf South Conference matchup. UAH dips to 12-6 (3-2 GSC), while UNA improves to 14-3 (4-1 GSC).
 
Turning Point
- North Alabama's potent offense – which hit .363 for the match – took an early lead on a 25-15 win in the first en route to the three-set victory with wins of 25-19 and 25-14 in the second and third frames, respectively.
 
Inside the Box Score
- The Chargers attack was paced by Anna Claire Johnson with eight kills, and Johnson additionally ranked third on the roster with nine digs.
- Johnson also led the squad with two service aces.
- Anna LeDuc finished second on the roster in both kills with six and digs with 10 on Friday.
- Haley Hop anchored the defense with 12 digs, while Isabelle Barnes registered a team-high four total blocks.
- Kirsten Giles finished with a team-high 14 assists as well as two kills, one service ace, one block assist and six digs.
- Chargers most successful set performance came in the second frame, when the squad totaled 12 kills on a .323 hitting percentage.

- Barnes' four total blocks match a season-high which she has now set four times and twice in GSC play.
