MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team gutted out a solid 2-2 draw at Montevallo on Friday night, playing the majority of the 110 minutes with just 10 men. The Chargers go to 3-4-1 overall and stay unbeaten in Gulf South Conference play at 2-0-1, while the Falcons go to 4-2-1 (1-0-1 GSC).

Turning Points

Jordan Wright opened the scoring in the 17th minute as
Guy Clennett played a nice ball from the right side to Wright in front of the goal who tallied to make it a 1-0 lead, and just 94 seconds after the visiting side went down a man, Wright would score again in the 31st to put the Chargers up 2-0.
-That remained the score through the halftime break, but the Falcons would cut their deficit in half in the 54th when Lukas Hauer scored, and Montevallo tied the game on a Liam Moore score in the 88th minute.
-UAH then dug deep to ensure that it would leave town with a point, permitting Montevallo to take just three shots in the two overtime periods, and
Myles Fullen rose to the occasion in making a save on the only shot on goal in extra time which came in the 93rd minute.
-The Chargers nearly found the game-winner themselves in the 94th, but Montevallo was bailed out by the iron on a strong attempt off the foot of
Corentin Diverres.

Inside the Box Score
-Thanks to a 10-6 advantage in the second half when they were playing up a man for the entire stanza, the Falcons finished the night with a 19-13 edge in shots, but attempts that were on frame were even at 8-8.
-Both teams earned four corners in the affair.
-A total of 26 fouls were whistled in the game, and there were 10 bookings including seven for the Chargers.
-Wright fired off a team-high four shots, and three of them were on goal.
-Fullen totaled six stops in goal for the Chargers.

-The multi-goal performance from Wright is the first by a UAH this season, and it is the first for Wright since he scored twice against Spring Hill on Oct. 18, 2015.
-Wright takes over the team lead in points as he has eight from his four goals on the season.
-The six saves for Fullen is a season high for the Nolensville, Tennessee, native.
