ON THE ROAD AGAIN: The UAH women's basketball team will return to action on the road this weekend, traveling to new conference foe Auburn Montgomery for a 2p.m. tilt on Saturday before venturing to West Georgia for a 1 p.m. CST contest on Monday. The Chargers head into the pair of games as owners of a 10-5 overall record and a 4-4 mark in Gulf South Conference action.

LAST TIME OUT: The Chargers split the past two games at home, knocking off Christian Brothers 75-68 before falling 74-67 to league-leading Union in a game that saw UAH play tough against a team that is averaging allowing just 59.9 points per game.

AROUND THE GSC: UAH heads into this weekend sitting in seventh in the conference, while undefeated Union is 7-0 at the top of the standings ahead of second-place North Alabama who is 7-1 on the year in GSC play. Lee is in third at 6-2 ahead of a logjam of three teams – Valdosta State, West Florida, and West Georgia – who are all tied for fourth at 5-2 in GSC game.

SHARPSHOOTERS: In GSC games, the Chargers are first in the conference by shooting 39.0 percent from beyond the arc which is several percentage points ahead of the second-ranked team West Florida who is connecting on 34.9 percent of its 3-point tries against GSC opponents. Additionally,
Loren Foster sits atop the league individually as she is hitting 3s at a 52.4 percent clip in league games.

BALANCED EFFORT: After having just two players average double figures in scoring a year ago, the Chargers presently have four who all within two points per game of each other.
Chandler Elder leads the way with 12.5 points per game followed by
Katie Speegle's 11.5 points per contest.
Baylee Johnson and
Loren Foster also are scoring in double digits, averaging 11.3 and 10.5 per game, respectively.

ELDER ON THE GLASS: Elder enters this weekend leading the team in rebounding as the senior is grabbing 7.7 boards per contest. She has led the Chargers in 10 games including reaching double figures in rebounds in four games including a season-high 12 twice. Her 7.7 boards per game rank ninth in the GSC.

ABOUT AUBURN MONTGOMERY: The Warhawks are 6-8 overall, 2-5 in GSC games, and have lost four in a row entering Saturday's match-up. AUM is in the transition process to become a Division II member, and though games against the Warhawks count in the conference standings, the institution is not yet eligible for postseason play. On the year, Evelina Avleeva leads the team with 11.7 points and 6.1 rebounds per outing.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers are 1-6 all-time against AUM, but the two programs have not met since Jan. 31, 1994.

ABOUT WEST GEORGIA: The Wolves will take on UNA on Saturday as owners of a 9-5 overall mark and a 5-2 record in conference play, and UWG is 4-2 at home. With 14.1 points per game, Kayla Carter paces the Wolves offensively.

SERIES HISTORY: West Georgia took both contests a year ago to hold a 30-23 advantage in the all-time series, and in Carrollton last season, UWG claimed a 64-58 decision.
