BACK AT HOME: The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball team will return to the friendly confines of Kelly Court at Spragins Hall for a two-game homestand, welcoming Christian Brothers on Saturday at 4 p.m. before hosting Union on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. The Chargers enter the weekend at 9-5 (2-4 Gulf South Conference).

LAST TIME OUT: UAH was tripped up in both meetings on the road swing through Mississippi, falling 62-50 at Delta State on Tuesday before taking a 105-93 setback at Mississippi College on Thursday.

NEARING A MILESTONE: Justin Ward is aiming to become the 24th member of UAH's 1000 point club as the senior currently sits on 970 career points. This season, Ward leads the Chargers with a scoring average of 18.5 points per game which ranks seventh in the GSC.

AT THE STRIPE: After shooting under 70 percent from the free throw line in four of the first seven games of the season, UAH has since shot better than 70 percent in five of the next seven games including four games shooting better than 80 percent from the stripe. That has propelled UAH to fourth in the league with a 73.5 percent mark at the line on the season.

ON THE DEFENSIVE GLASS: Despite having an off night in rebounding against MC and collecting just 19 rebounds on the defensive end, the Chargers continue to rank among the nation's best in defensive rebounding with an average of 28.8 rebounds per game on that end of the floor which ranks 29th in the country.

ABOUT CHRISTIAN BROTHERS: The Bucs visit Huntsville at 12-1 overall and 4-1 in conference play after winning 104-85 over West Georgia on Thursday to bounce back from their first loss of the season which came Tuesday against Auburn Montgomery. Jeff Larkin leads the Bucs with 20.6 points per game, while Adam Dieball is scoring 17.2 points per game to go along with a team-best 5.9 rebounds per game.

SERIES HISTORY: With both teams defending their home floor last year, UAH is now 22-8 all-time against the Bucs. In Huntsville, the Chargers were 81-69 winners with four players scoring in double figures.

ABOUT UNION: The Bulldogs are 8-5 overall and 2-3 in the league heading into Saturday's contest at North Alabama, and the squad came back from the Christmas Break with wins over UWG and AUM. Charlie Wilson is one of five players scoring in double figures for the Bulldogs as he leads the team with 15.7 points per outing, while Pedro Da Silva paces the team on the glass with 9.2 rebounds per game.

SERIES HISTORY: The Chargers are 11-1 all-time against the Bulldogs after sweeping all three meetings including a home game against UU in the opening round of the GSC tournament. In the regular season meeting in Huntsville, the Chargers won 111-109 in overtime to mark the second straight OT game in the Rocket City between the two teams.
