BACK AT HOME: The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team will return to the friendly confines of Kelly Court at Spragins Hall for a two-game homestand, welcoming Christian Brothers on Saturday at 2 p.m. before hosting Union on Tuesday at 5:30 p.m. The Chargers enter the weekend at 9-4 (3-3 Gulf South Conference).

LAST TIME OUT: UAH split the road swing through Mississippi, falling 67-60 at Delta State before bouncing back with a nice 75-70 victory at Mississippi College. In the win over MC, Loren Foster hit six 3-pointers on her way to registering a career-best 22 points.

MILESTONE REACHED: Chandler Elder could soon move into the top 10 rebounding list at UAH after she reached the 500-rebound plateau on Thursday night with seven rebounds at Mississippi College. The senior now has 503 for her career and thus needs just 10 more to take over 10th all-time which is currently held by LaDasha Thompkins who grabbed 512 during her career in the Blue and White.

PERIMETER DEFENSE: The Chargers have the top defense in the GSC when it comes to 3-point field goal percentages as the squad is allowing the opposition to hit 3-pointers at just a 24.7 percent rate. UAH has allowed just three treys in each of the last four games, and opponents are averaging just over four makes per contest.

FROM DOWNTOWN: Conversely, the Chargers rank fifth in the conference with a 32.8 percent mark from beyond the arc and is tied for third in the league with 6.8 successful attempts per game. Individually, Foster is tied for fifth in the GSC as she is averaging 2.3 3-pointers per contest.

ABOUT CHRISTIAN BROTHERS: After coming back from Christmas with home wins over Auburn Montgomery and West Georgia, CBU will make the trek over to Huntsville at 4-7 overall and 3-2 in league play. Rafaella Angelidou leads the Lady Bucs as she is scoring 12.9 points per contest, while Mikaela Blissett paces the team on the glass with 7.0 rebounds per game.

SERIES HISTORY: UAH is now 15-12 all-time against the Lady Bucs after CBU swept the season series a year ago. In Huntsville last season, CBU was a 57-52 winner.

ABOUT UNION: The Lady Bulldogs are 12-1 overall and 5-0 in GSC play and will carry a seven-game winning streak into Saturday's showdown with undefeated North Alabama. Chelsey Shumpert is pacing the Union offensive attack with 24.5 points per game thanks to a strong 46.9 percent performance on 3-point tries, and she is also leading the team in rebounding with 7.2 boards per outing.

SERIES HISTORY: After splitting the season series last year, UAH is now 1-11 all-time against Union. That first win in the series for the Chargers came at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall last year in a 57-56 decision in which Katie Speegle had a double-double with 13 points and 10 rebounds.
