BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team wrapped up its exhibition slate and the 2018 calendar year on Sunday, dropping an 83-58 decision at UAB. The game counted as a regular season contest for the Blazers who move to 12-1 on the season.

-Both Aryn Sanders and Baylee Johnson scored 15 for the Chargers to lead UAH, and they were joined in double figures by Katie Speegle who chipped in with 11.
-Helping UAH outrebound the Division I opponent by a 40-38 margin, the Chargers featured four players – Sanders, Johnson, Speegle, and Morgan Tipton – who all grabbed a team-best seven rebounds.
-Emiline Payne handed out a team-high three assists for the Chargers.

-UAH earned 15 shots at the free throw line compared to 10 for the hosts.
-UAB was led by Rachael Childress who scored 14.
-UAB's lone loss on the season came in overtime to perennial power Tennessee.
