MEMPHIS | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's tennis team started Gulf South Conference action on Friday, falling to Delta State 6-3 before rebounding with a 5-3 win over Christian Brothers. The Chargers go to 2-3 overall and 1-1 in GSC play on the year.

In the win over CBU, the Chargers had to come from behind after the Bucs won two of the three doubles points with UAH's victory coming at the third where
Kieran Roskell-Thomas and
Noah Pring teamed up for an 8-6 victory.

In singles action, UAH picked up a win at the top position where
Dylan Hall bounced back from a 6-4 setback in the opening set to win 6-3 and 10-7 to take the point, while
Elliot Hopson earned a 6-3, 6-1 victory at the No. 3. The Chargers also picked up a point at the No. 4 where
James Caddies won 6-2, 7-6 to help UAH earn the win.

Against Delta State, the Statesmen earned two of the three doubles points with UAH's win coming from the No. 3 where Pring and Caddies won 9-7.

UAH's singles victories came from
Tim Nutz who won 6-3, 6-4 at the third, while Caddies earned a 4-6, 6-2, 6-1 win at the fourth.

The Chargers will next be in action on Friday when the team travels to Birmingham Southern for a 2 p.m. match.
