2/23/2018 11:04:00 AM

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's tennis team rolled in its Thursday non-conference meeting at Birmingham Southern, winning 8-1. The Chargers improve to 3-5 with the triumph, while BSC drops to 1-2.

In doubles play, the Chargers took two of the three points as Dylan Hall and Timo Christen teamed up at the No. 3 to win 8-2, while Noah Pring and reigning GSC Freshman of the Week James Caddies picked up an 8-4 victory at the second position.

UAH then swept all six singles matches, and for good measure had each player win in just two sets.

Pring picked up the most lopsided victory, winning 6-1, 6-0 at the No. 5, while both Elliot Hopson and Caddies won 6-1, 6-3 at the second and third spots, respectively. Picking up a 6-3, 6-4 victory at No. 4 was Guilherme Coleta, and Kieran Roskell-Thomas won 7-5, 6-0 at the No. 6. At the top spot, Dylan Hall won 7-6 (2), 6-1.

The Chargers will be off until Saturday, March 3, when Mississippi College visits UAH for a noon match.
