MEMPHIS | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's basketball team fell on the road on Saturday, dropping a 59-52 contest at Christian Brothers. The Chargers slip to 11-11 (5-10 Gulf South Conference), while CBU improves to 9-12 (8-7 GSC).

-UAH used a 7-0 run to cut its deficit to just three with 1:34 left in the game, but the Lady Bucs scored six of the final eight points to earn the victory.

Katie Speegle went 5-for-9 from the floor and scored a team-best 15 in the game in addition to logging three blocks, while
Baylee Johnson joined her in double figures with 11 while also adding three assists.

Heidi Miller turned in a strong game on the boards, grabbing a game-best 11 rebounds.
-Leading CBU on the day was Kenzie Jones who scored 24.
-For the contest, CBU shot 38.2 percent from the floor while UAH connected on 32.7 percent of its attempts, and it was the Chargers who won the rebounding battle by a 39-31 edge.

Inside the Flow
-Christian Brothers led from the start, enjoying a double-digit lead at 15-5 by the 4:33 mark of the opening quarter, and that lead expanded to its largest of the day at 27-12 with 4:10 left in the second quarter before the teams went into the half with the hosts up 27-17.
-UAH then outscored CBU 20-11 in the first nine minutes of the third to pull within one before a triple for the hosts made it a four-point game at 41-37 going into the fourth.
-The lead would push back out to 10 for CBU at 53-43 by the 3:47 mark of the final frame, but UAH put up the 7-0 spurt at that point to pull within three before the Lady Bucs were able to hang on for the victory.

Noteworthy
-The 11 rebounds for Miller is a career-best for the junior as she had previously had four in a game twice.
-Speegle has totaled 31 blocks on the season including 17 in her last six games.
