HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team earned a second straight series sweep and pushed its winning streak to eight games with an 8-0 blanking of Christian Brothers in five innings on Sunday. The Chargers improve to 21-6 (11-4 Gulf South Conference), while CBU slips to 5-22 (1-14 GSC).

-UAH threatened in the first, getting runners to second and third before being stranded there, but the Chargers would get on the board in the second when Hampton drove in Wascavage who had singled, stole second, and moved to third on
Brooke Miller's sac bunt.
-The Lady Bucs threatened in the top of fourth, getting runners to second and third before Murphy induced a pair of fly outs to end the threat, and the Chargers would capitalize on that momentum by scoring four times in the bottom frame with Wascavage and Cornell driving in runs before Malone hit a two-run homer.
-UAH then wrapped up the game with Hampton doubling in a pair of runs and Cornell singling in the eighth and final run of the contest.

-Booker has 12 hits in the team's last six games, and she is now batting .429 on the year which ranks second on the team.
-Hampton now ranks second on the team with 27 RBI on the year.
-Malone's home run is her fourth of the year, and all four have come in the past two weekends.
-The eight-game winning streak is the longest of the season for the Chargers and matches the string of victories the team had from April 21 to May 7 of last season.
