PENSACOLA, Fla. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team dropped a tough one on Sunday, falling 7-6 as West Florida won in the bottom of the seventh of the series finale. The Chargers move to 23-7 (13-5 Gulf South Conference), while UWF improves to 18-11 (9-7 GSC).

-UWF scored three times in the bottom of the seventh to complete the comeback.

-UWF picked up 13 hits in the game, while the Chargers had nine.
-Each of Reagan Malone, Kiara Akles, and Brooke Miller had a pair of hits in the game, and both Malone and Shelby Booker had two RBI in the contest.
-UAH utilized all three of its pitchers in the game, and it was Jada Hayes who took the loss in the circle.
-A significant difference maker in the game, UAH left 11 runners on base while the Argos stranded six runners.
 
Key Plays
-The Argos broke a scoreless tie in the bottom of the third when they plated two runs, but the Chargers had an immediate answer with Malone singling in a run, Booker tripling to knocking in a pair, and Akles having a base hit to score a run to put UAH up 4-2.
-The score remained 4-2 until the bottom of the fifth when UWF had a solo homer to pull within one at 4-3, but a double from Brooke Miller put the Chargers back up by a pair at 5-3.
-Another solo shot in the bottom of the sixth made it a 5-4 game, and though Malone would give the Chargers a 6-4 lead, the hosts scored three times in the seventh to win the game.
 
Noteworthy
-Booker's triple is her first of her freshman season, and the Chargers now have 12 on the year.
-Malone has now reached base safely in 11 straight, and she moves her RBI total to 24.
