MONTEVALLO, Ala. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's tennis team fell at conference newcomer Montevallo on Thursday, dropping an 8-1 decision to the host Falcons. The Chargers slip to 4-6 (2-4 Gulf South Conference), while UM improves to 8-1 (2-1 GSC).

In doubles play, the Falcons picked up each of the three points with the top pairing of
Dylan Hall and
Timo Christen for the Chargers putting up the best challenge in an 8-6 setback.

The point for UAH in the match came at the sixth position in singles where
Kieran Roskell-Thomas was a 6-2, 6-7, 12-10 winner.

The Chargers forced two other matches into three sets with
James Caddies falling 6-4, 2-6, 10-4 at the fourth and
Noah Pring dropping a 4-6, 6-3, 10-3 decision at the No. 5.

Hall also fought strong, nearly forcing a third set in falling 6-4, 7-6 at the top position.

The Chargers will return to action on Saturday when the team hosts Auburn Montgomery at 11 a.m. on the UAH campus.
