DAHLONEGA, Ga. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville softball team fell to the nation's No. 2 team on Tuesday, dropping a 6-1 contest in the opener before taking a tough 2-1 setback in the nightcap at North Georgia. The Chargers slip to 26-12 on the season, while UNG improves to 45-2.
 
Next Time Out
-The Chargers will return to Charger Park this weekend, hosting Mississippi College for another pivotal Gulf South Conference series. The two teams are slated to play a doubleheader at 2 p.m. on Saturday before wrapping up the series with a 1 p.m. contest on Sunday.
 
North Georgia 6, UAH 1
Game Changer
-North Georgia hit a two-run, two-out homer in the bottom of the third to go up by a 3-0 score and would then score three more times while holding UAH to one run to secure the victory.

-North Georgia outhit the Chargers by an 8-5 margin.
-Jada Hayes had two of UAH's hits and the lone RBI, while each of Reagan Malone, Alaina Hampton, and Amber Hammonds had a hit each.
