-Senior Haley Hop leads all UAH returners as a Preseason All-GSC selection after pacing the conference with a program-record 5.27 digs per set in 2017. The Madison, Alabama, native boasts 1452 career digs to start the season, ranking fifth all-time in program history and 311 scoops away from being the program's career digs leader.

-Over the last three seasons starting the year at home with the UAH Classic, the Chargers have gone 12-1 over 13 matches while dropping just seven sets in those contests. The Blue & White's success to start the season at Spragins Hall has helped the squad to a home record of 32-11 dating back to 2015.
