HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team opened up Gulf South Conference play on Friday night, falling in overtime to Delta State by a 1-0 score. UAH slips to 0-4-1 (0-1-0 GSC), while DSU improves to 2-1-1 (1-0-0 GSC).

-After the teams played to a scoreless draw through the first 90 minutes, Delta State secured the victory when Anoucke Baas fired a shot that caromed off the crossbar and down for the game-winning score.

-UAH established a wide margin in shots in the game, outshooting the Lady Statesmen by a 20-7 clip, and the Chargers also enjoyed a 7-4 edge in shots that were on frame.
