Mississippi College Defeats UAH on Sunday Afternoon

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team dropped its Sunday contest with visiting Mississippi College by a 3-0 score at Charger Park. UAH slips to 0-5-1 (0-2-0 Gulf South Conference), while MC improves to 4-1-0 (2-0-0 GSC).
 
Turning Points
-The visiting side built up a 2-0 lead at the half after Samantha Carson scored in the 29th minute and Jess Davenport tallied in the 40th.
-The 3-0 final was then produced as Dani Avelar scored in the 81st.
 
Inside the Box Score
-The guests held an 18-3 advantage in shots including a 13-2 edge in attempts that were on goal.
-MC earned nine corners in the game.
-Megan Buford stopped 10 shots in the setback.
-Each of Baylie Spring, Melanie Brannon, and Brynn Colvin logged a shot for the Chargers.
