FLORENCE, S.C. | Immediately bouncing back from the heartache of Friday night's season-opening setback, The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team earned a split in the Palmetto State, giving head coach
John Carrier his first collegiate victory as the Chargers were 3-1 winners at Francis Marion on Sunday afternoon. The Chargers moved to 1-1 on the season, while FMU slips to 0-2.

-After
Myles Fullen made four stops in the contest's first 27 minutes, it would be the Chargers that would get on the board first as
Khalil Bell assisted on
Rafa Moreno's strike in the 30th minute to put the guests up 1-0.
-The Chargers would pad the lead just eight minutes later when
Connor Young scored off an assist from
Vicente Arratia in the 38th to give UAH a 2-0 lead it would take into the halftime break.
-Wasting no time getting back into the contest, the hosts would score just minutes into the second half in the 49th minute to cut UAH's lead to 2-1, but
Ethan Wilson's header from Young in the 69th gave the Chargers a 3-1 advantage the team would hold the rest of the way.
