HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team went on the road an earned a Gulf South Conference victory on Friday night, defeating host Auburn Montgomery by a 3-1 score. The Chargers improve to 3-6-1 (1-4-0 GSC), while AUM slips to 1-8-0 (1-4-0 GSC).

Turning Points
-AUM opened the scoring, tallying in the ninth minute of the game when Ruby Mendez scored, but the Chargers would answer back in the 22nd when
Melanie Brannon set up
Brynn Colvin who scored to tie the contest at 1-1.
-The score remained level through the halftime break, but Colvin – this time assisted by
Marissa Miltko – would give the Chargers the lead in the 55th minute.
-Icing the contest,
Annie Burd fed one to Brannon who scored to create the eventual 3-1 final margin in the 75th minute.

-The Chargers dominated the game, outshooting the Warhawks by a 22-12 margin including a 10-4 edge in shots on goal, and UAH earned 11 corners with AUM recording six.
-Five different UAH players recorded multiple shots, led by

-The 12 goals for Colvin represent the sixth-best mark by a Charger in a season in program history, and her 30 points are tied for the fourth-most in a single year.
-Brannon has now scored seven times on the season, giving her 13 for her career.
-The assist for Miltko is her first as a Charger.
-Wright picks up her second win of the season in goal.
