UAH Downs Martin Methodist in Four Sets on Tuesday

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville volleyball team stepped out of Gulf South Conference play for a 3-1 win (25-18, 19-25, 25-21, 25-16) on Tuesday evening over Martin Methodist at Kelly Court at Spragins Hall. UAH improves to 15-7, while MMC dips to 16-6.
 
Turning Point
- With the match tied at 1-1 after two frames, UAH won the ensuing two sets by scores of 25-21 and 25-16 as the Chargers took the nonconference tilt in four sets on Tuesday.
 
Inside the Box Score
- Abby Brooks compiled a team-high 11 kills and nearly reached a double-double with nine digs which rated fourth on the squad.
- Kendall Scharbert joined Brooks with double-digit kills with 10 successful swats on the day in addition to a team-best four total blocks.
- Both Isabelle Barnes and Ally Kennis contributed eight kills on the day.
- Ali Lowe recorded a team-high .417 hitting percentage on six kills, followed by Kennis with a .412 swing rate.
