UAH Plays to 2-2 Draw with Visiting CBU Sunday

HUNTSVILLE | Picking up a key point in the conference standings, The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team played to a 2-2 draw with visiting Christian Brothers on Sunday morning at the Merrimack Soccer Complex. The Chargers move to 5-7-2 (3-3-2 Gulf South Conference), while CBU goes to 7-7-1 (5-4-1 GSC).

Turning Points
-It was a back-and-forth affair with the Chargers opening the scoring in the 28th as a nice cross from Ethan Wilson found Rafa Moreno right in front, and Moreno buried it to give the hosts a 1-0 lead.
-The Bucs then proceeded to level the contest just before the half, with Caleb Tammi scoring in the 43rd to create what would be a 1-1 score at the break.
-UAH wasted very little time regaining the lead in the second half as Antonio Goncalves gave it to Michael Weston who finished a nice run by pushing it past the CBU keeper to make it 2-1.
-The Chargers stayed up by the one-goal margin until the 82nd when Maximillian Galizzi evened the game at 2-2.
-UAH then outshot the Bucs 5-1 in the two overtime periods but were unable to find the game-winner in the extra 20 minutes of play.
