HUNTSVILLE | Winner of three straight and of four of its last six, The University of Alabama in Huntsville women's soccer team romped past visiting Christian Brothers 3-1 on Sunday morning at the Merrimack Soccer Complex. The Chargers improve to 6-8-1 (4-6-0 Gulf South Conference) with the victory, while CBU slips to 8-5-1 (4-4-1 GSC).

Turning Points
-Giving the Chargers a quick lead,
Laura Hasani intercepted a ball at the top of the box and promptly fired it home in the 16th minute to put UAH ahead 1-0, and that score would hold through the halftime break.
-A free kick in the 57th from Kirsten LaPlante would lift the Chargers in front by a pair, and
Gabby Westenberger put UAH ahead by a significant 3-0 margin just four minutes later in the 61st.
-CBU got on the board in the 86th as Bailey Tadlock scored to create the eventual 3-1 final.

Inside the Box Score
-The Chargers were outshot by a 16-5 margin, but it was no matter as UAH was extremely clinical on the afternoon, scoring on three of its four efforts that were on frame.
-CBU had seven shots on goal, but
Adriana Wright was up to the task as she registered five saves including a key save early in the second half that preserved what was at the time a one-goal UAH advantage.
-UAH earned four corners while conceding just three to CBU.
-Hasani paced the team with a pair of shots, and both of her tries were on target.

-Wright earns her fourth win of the season in goal, and she moves her season save total to 73.
