NASHVILLE, Tenn. | The eighth-ranked University of Alabama in Huntsville men's basketball continued its winning ways on Monday night, going on the road and defeating Trevecca Nazarene 80-60. The Chargers improve to 7-0, while TNU slips to 0-7.

Turning Point
-After the Trojans took a 37-36 lead with just under two minutes to play in the opening half, UAH scored seven of the final eight points in the period to regain the advantage at 43-38, and the guests would not trail at all in the second half.

Inside the Box Score
-The Chargers were led in scoring by a trio that scored in double figures including
Max Shulman who went 6-for-10 from the floor including five 3-points on his way to scoring 17.
-
Triston Chambers was 6-for-9 and scored 16 points, while
JJ Kaplan tallied 13 points to go along with nine rebounds.
-Red Smith led TNU with 17 points.
-For the game, the Chargers shot 52.7 percent while holding the hosts to a 35.2 percent shooting mark, and UAH established a 35-34 advantage on the glass.
-UAH's reserves outscored TNU's by a 48-11 margin, and the Chargers built up a wide 40-16 difference in points in the paint.
-UAH also enjoyed a 21-10 cushion in points off turnovers.

-The Chargers scored the game's first five points, and by the 11:39 mark of the opening half, a Shulman 3-pointer lifted UAH in front by a 24-11 score.
-With the visitors leading 32-21 later in the half, a 16-4 run for the Trojans would completely erase their deficit, putting them up 37-36 at the 1:51 mark.
-After UAH closed the half strong to go up 43-38 at the break, the Chargers would push the lead back into double figures by the 14:37 mark of the second period when a Swalve trey made it 54-44.
-The Trojans would pull back within seven but would get no closer as UAH ran away with it, leading by as many as 22 before the 80-60 final.

-The 2019-20 team joins the 1999-2000 (7-0) and the 2009-10 (8-0) teams as the only ones in program history to win its first seven games of the season.
-Shulman has reached double figures in four games now, and he is shooting 47.9 percent from 3-point land.
-Chambers continues to lead the team in scoring, averaging 14.1 points per contest, and with three more steals against TNU, the redshirt junior has a team-best 14 on the year.
