UAH Completes Series Win Over No. 12 Delta State with 5-3 Victory Sunday

CLEVELAND, Miss. | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team notched a Gulf South Conference series win over No. 12 Delta State with a 5-3 victory to wrap up the three-game set on Sunday afternoon. UAH improves to 20-12 (10-7 GSC), while DSU slips to 22-9 (13-7 GSC).
 
Game-Changer
- The Chargers received a dominant 8.1-inning starting performance out of Harper Case with two earned runs allowed, one walk and seven strikeouts to lead the squad to a 5-3 series win on Sunday afternoon at Delta State.
 
Inside the Box Score
- UAH totaled 11 base hits against the Statesmen, as sophomore Will Acuff led the way with a 3-for-4 performance at the plate in addition to notching the team's lone stolen base.
- Both Landon Ezzell and Nolan Ramsey rated second on the roster with two base hits, while Ezzell had a team-high two RBI and Ramsey scored a game-high two runs.
- Ramsey collected the Chargers lone extra-base hit in the contest, which was a solo home run in the top of the second.
- Drake Hollingsworth paced the roster with two walks.
- Brooks Brophy picked up his second save of the season after finishing off the final two outs with a pair of strikeouts.
- Case improved to 3-1 with the win, as he limited DSU to five hits over his 8.1 innings with three runs – two earned – allowed in the victory.
