UAH Sweeps Doubleheader Against Union Friday to Open Series

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville baseball team notched a pair of wins in a doubleheader sweep on Friday afternoon by scores of 4-3 and 5-0 to open a three-game Gulf South Conference series against Union at Charger Park. UAH improves to 23-15 (13-9 GSC), while UU dips to 10-27 (4-19 GSC).

Game-Changer
- The Chargers notched their second walk-off win of the season in the series-opener as the Blue & White scored two runs in the bottom of the ninth, highlighted by Palmer Ford's game-winning RBI single to left to give UAH the 4-3 victory.
 
Inside the Box Score
- UAH registered 10 base hits in game one of the doubleheader, led by Drake Hollingsworth and Ford who each went 3-for-4 in the win.
- Tyler McCown, Steven Milke and Ford each had one RBI against the Bulldogs to tie for the team lead.
- Milke additionally drew two walks in a 1-for-2 day at the dish.
- Jack Stamper and Landon Ezzell both scored one run and had one base hit.

- Dylan Murphy was masterful on the mound in game two of the doubleheader as the right-hander worked a complete-game shutout with 7.0 innings, two hits allowed and six strikeouts to lead the squad to a 5-0 win to wrap up the day.

- UAH posted six base hits in the contest, led by Nolan Ramsey with a 2-for-3 performance with a two-run home run.
- Will Acuff, Wes Anderson and Garrett Bodine each drew one walk apiece to pace the roster.
