HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's lacrosse team picked up a home victory on Wednesday, beating visiting Tennessee Wesleyan by a 12-5 score. The Chargers improve to 2-8 with the win, while the Bulldogs slip to 3-8.

Turning Point
-After the guests scored to make it a two-goal game shortly into the fourth quarter, the Chargers reeled off five straight and held the opposition scoreless to seal the 12-5 victory.Â

Inside the Box Score
-UAH was led on the night by both
Luke LeVette and
Brody Phillips who both had three goals in the game, while
Caleb Merrow added a pair.

-The hosts picked up 39 ground balls compared to 31 for Tennessee Wesleyan.

Inside the Flow
-The visitors got on the board first, scoring in the first five minutes of the game, but the Chargers would tie the contest at the 5:58 mark of the opening quarter when LeVette got his first of the night to tie it at 1-1.
-The score remained deadlocked into the second quarter when the Bulldogs scored just over three minutes into the period, but LeVette's second of the game came just 13 seconds later to level the game at 2-2.
-Goppelt and LeVette scored later in the second quarter before the guests tallied in the final minute to send the teams into the half with UAH leading 4-3.
-The first three goals of the third quarter came from the Chargers as Campbell, Stuber, and Phillips tallied to give UAH a 7-3 advantage, and TWU got back on the board with just three seconds left in the stanza to make it a 7-4 UAH lead going into the final quarter.
-Just 1:23 into the fourth, the Bulldogs scored to make it a 7-5 game, but Phillips started a 5-0 run for the Chargers with the goals coming from Nall, Merrow, another from Phillips, and the final one from Merrow to create the 12-5 final.

-LeVette now has 21 goals on the season, giving him 86 for his career in the Blue and White.
-The three-goal showing for Phillips give him two multi-goal game this season, and the freshman is second on the team with 12 goals.
-Fowler has totaled 32 ground balls in his past three games to total a team-best 55 on the year.
-Welsh has now recorded 103 saves on the season.
