HUNTSVILLE | The 2018-19 Google Cloud Academic All-America Division II Men's At-Large teams have been announced, and The University of Alabama in Huntsville's
Timo Christen has earned a Second-Team selection.

The teams are voted on by members of the College Sports Information Directors of America.

Christen represents UAH's third Academic All-American from the 2018-19 academic year, joining Brydon Groves-Scott and John Teets.
Â
Student-athletes from the sports of tennis, lacrosse, volleyball, swimming, wrestling, and golf make up the At-Large teams.
Â
Christen is the lone student-athlete from the Gulf South Conference to earn an All-American nod on the Men's At-Large teams.
Â
Excelling in the classroom, Christen has posted a 3.99 GPA for his collegiate career, and the junior is majoring in chemistry at UAH. On the court this season, Christen played exclusively at the No. 1 in singles and posted four victories, and he racked up 11 wins in doubles play including five victories against conference opponents.

The Division II Academic All-America program is being financially supported by the NCAA Division II national governance structure to assist CoSIDA with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2018-19 Division II Academic All-America teams program.
