HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team picked up its first victory of the season in style, blowing past visiting North Georgia 6-0 at Charger Park on Friday night. The Chargers improve to 1-3-0 with the win, while UNG slips to 1-4-1.

Turning Points
-UAH opened the scoring in the 16th minute of the contest when
Vicente Arratia's corner was impressively headed in by
Khalil Bell, and the score remained 1-0 until the 36th minute when
Marten Nilop set up
Brayant Toro who scored to give the Chargers a 2-0 lead that would stand through the halftime break.
-The roles were reversed in the 55th minute as Bell fed a ball to Arratia who scored to give the Chargers a commanding 3-0 lead.

Michael Weston in the 74th,
Connor Young in the 83rd, and
Rafa Moreno from Young in the 87th closed out the scoring for the Chargers in the rout.

Inside the Box Score
-The Chargers dominated nearly every facet of the contest, outshooting the visitors by a 25-11 margin including a 13-2 edge in attempts that were on frame, and UAH earned seven corners compared to just one for North Georgia.
-Bell was responsible for a team-high eight of UAH's shots including a team-best four that were on goal, while Moreno fired off four and Young came off the bench to record three shots of which two were on target.

-The Chargers now have had six different goal scorers with Toro the only UAH player with multiple scores as he tallies his second of the season.
-The goal for Weston is the first of the freshman's collegiate career.

-Moreno's goal is his 15th with UAH.
-The eight shots by Bell represent the most by a Charger since
Jordan Wright had eight against Shorter on Oct. 22, 2017.
-The six goals are the most by a UAH time since scoring seven against Shorter on Oct. 22, 2017.
