Chargers Show Strong Fight in Narrow Setback to No. 5 Lander

HUNTSVILLE | The University of Alabama in Huntsville men's soccer team opened the 2019 season going toe-to-toe with the nation's No. 5 team, but a 75th-minute goal was the difference as Lander knocked off UAH 2-1 at Charger Park on Friday night. UAH starts the season at 0-1, while Lander begins at 1-0.

Turning Points
-Lander opened the scoring in the 15th minute when Robbie Young scored, and the score remained 1-0 in favor of the Bearcats until the 43rd minute when the Chargers drew a penalty which Brayant Toro buried to level the contest at 1-1 going into the half.
-The game remained even through much of the second half until Tom Marriott scored in the 75th to produce the eventual 2-1 final.
